India in Germany

Today I was invited by my dear study-buddies from India to the celebration of Diwali. We missed the first part unfortunately but arrived just in time for food and firecrackers. I’m not going to try to explain the concept of Diwali but as far as I understood it’s a hindu festival of light celebrating the return of the god Ramas from exile (tell me if I’m wrong here). It was a really nice evening and indians are the best hosts. Nobody got out of that door without the stomach filled with some of the best indian food I’ve ever had. All this with a nice crescendo of crazy firecracker-action. A night to remember. Thank you Sharon and Namrata!
