It just said bang and now I’m here!
Taxi left at five yesterday morning for Landvetter Airport and then Air Berlin took me to Stuttgart via Berlin. Everything went smooth and I slept through both flights. So now I arrived in what will be my home country for the next four months. It is excitement, nervousness and anticipation all mixed here and it leaves me feeling kind of strange. It also might have to do with the fact that I won’t get to see friends, family or my girlfriend for a long time now and that is going to be hard. Hopefully though I will be able to learn a lot of new skills that will help me to eventually land a job within the automotive industry. That is my one and only focus with this exchange.

School does not start until the 4th of October so I will have a couple of days to get settled, buy the things I forgot to bring et cetera. Hopefully I will be able to explore this city a bit also so it feels comfortable. I live in an old hotel that has been converted to student-accommodation. I share a room with a guy called Daniel that will study engineering here. Daniel is mexican as many of the other guys living here. I actually heard that Hotel Ruf now is called the mexican embassy. Time will tell if I manage to make it the mexican/swedish embassy.

Auf wiedersehen!

When the going gets tough, just remember the old saying “Fullt på femman, inte ett släpp!”

    Lycka till bro!
